How JBS USA Plans to Leverage Batista Filho’s Leadership for Growth and Expansion

Greeley, Colorado with effect from May 1, Wesley Batista Filho has been elevated to the position of chief executive officer of JBS USA. Tim Schellpeper, who is slated to retire, will be replaced by him.

Since joining JBS in 2011, Mr. Batista Filho has held a number of executive positions, including CEO of Seara, President of JBS Canada, and President of the JBS USA Fed Beef Division.

He has most recently served as JBS SA’s global president of operations since July 2022.

Since 2017, Mr. Schellpeper has worked for JBS. Before taking on his present role, he served as the president of JBS USA’s fed-beef business operations.

Mr. Schellpeper remarked, “I want to thank JBS USA for the opportunity to contribute to the organization over the previous six years. “With this restructuring, I’m using the chance to enter retirement once more and spend more time with my family. I view my time at JBS USA as the pinnacle of my professional life. Working alongside the men and women at JBS USA has been a pleasure. They are to thank for any success I achieved throughout my time there.

In order to address these issues, JBS USA has implemented sustainability programmers and worked to enhance working conditions in its facilities.
