Why Rachel Weisz and Husband Daniel Craig’s ‘Alternating’ Jobs Is Best for Their Family

Rachel Weisz shares how she and Daniel Craig priorities family while taking on new career commitments.

Rachel Weisz will not be collaborating with Daniel Craig anytime soon.

In an exclusive clip from this weekend’s broadcast of Sunday TODAY, host Willie Geist inquires about the potential of working with her spouse again.

“I don’t think we will at the moment,” she replies. “I think we really love our private life as a life, as a family, and then we go to work separately.”

“We really enjoyed that experience, but I think it’s nicer to — it also means we can alternate,” the Black Widow actress explains. So I can stay at home with the kids while hubby works, and we can switch places. It’s probably less optimal if we’re both doing stuff at the same time.”

On January 13, 2013, Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz arrive at the Beverly Hilton Hotel for the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards.

Da Brat, Hilary Swank, and Other Celebrities Who Have (or Are Expecting) Children After 45.

Craig and Weisz initially met in 1994, when both were cast in Les Grandes Horizontals at London’s National Theatre Studio.

Craig was married to ex-wife Fiona Loudon at the time, with whom he has daughter Ella, 31. Weisz and her ex-fiancé, director Darren Aronofsky, have a 16-year-old son, Henry.

Despite meeting in the 1990s, Weisz and Craig didn’t start dating until they played a married couple in the film Dream House.

Just six months after they began dating, the pair married in a private ceremony in June 2011. According to previous reports, the Marvel actress married the No Time to Die star in New York City in front of only four people: their children and two friends.

The couple also has a 4-year-old daughter whose name has not been revealed. Though Weisz and Craig are very quiet about their kid, the Black Widow actress stated in a 2018 interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert that her daughter looks a lot like her father.

“She does look very much like him,” Weisz said of the Spectre star. “She really does.”

The host couldn’t help but crack a joke when he asked if the infant had “steely blue eyes and big shoulders?”

Weisz laughed and agreed, saying, “Yeah, yeah, yeah.”
